Man Stabbed For Beer in West Seattle Robbery

A group of teens desperate to get their hands on some beer stabbed a man in an attempted robbery in West Seattle last week, a police report says.

According to the report, the man was sitting at a bus stop at Delridge Way SW near SW Juneau Street at about 10:30 p.m. on January 18th when a group of teens approached him and demanded the beer he had just purchased at a nearby convenience store.

When the man refused to hand over his beer, the group of teens attacked him. One of the teens punched the man while another pulled out a pair of scissors and stabbed him in the head. The report says the boys were all about 14 years old.

Following the assault, the man left the scene and walked to his apartment. He realized he had left his beer at the bus stop and went back to get it. Officers found the man at the bus stop—he sustained a cut to his right temple—and he was taken to a nearby hospital. Police searched the area for the suspects but were unable to find them.

The report does not indicate whether the man successfully retrieved his beer.
