Robbery and Possible Attempted Rape on Beacon Hill

Two days before Christmas, a Beacon Hill woman told police she was robbed by a man who also may have tried to sexually assault her near Jefferson Park.

Just before 1:00 p.m., the woman was walking near Columbia Dr. S and S. Ferdinand St. when she noticed a man following her, a police report says.

The woman told police the man walked up to her, pushed her to the ground, and began pulling at her pants and bra. The woman shouted "you can't rape me, I'm not going to let you" at the man and began screaming for help, the report says. The man then put his hand over her mouth and punched her in the face.

The woman struggled with the man, who eventually fled with the woman's iPod and bus pass.

Unfortunately, the woman waited twenty minutes before she called police because she "was concerned about her identity being revealed." Officers searched the area, but were unable to find the man. The report does not contain a description of the suspect.

The woman told police she had never seen the suspect before but "believes he may live in the neighborhood."

Asian?
Was the woman asian? If so, this may be same jerk that's been targeting asian women over the past year around Beacon Hill and in the RV. Sounds like the same kind of attack.
